The Princess Bride...and a beautiful rainy wedding day.
I don't think it rains much harder than on this day. It was like the heavens opened up and poured down in buckets! Funnily enough it stopped just before the wedding, throughout the entire ceremony, and not 5 minutes after they stepped outside came the rain again!
It was a bit of a sombre day because of the tragic events that happened the day before, but the ceremony was beautiful and poignant.
Tonje was nothing less than a princess in her wedding gown. It suited Kongsberg Kirke so well! Tonje and Kim originally come from Finnmark (where my husband comes from!) but since they live here in Kongsberg now, thought it would be nice to get married here...plus they thought the weather would be better! We made the most of the little light we had to get some pretty photos of the day though.
They say that a rainy wedding is very lucky and I am sure this is true. I am putting the blog out while Tonje and Kim are on their honeymoon, so they will either see it while they are away or just when they get back.
